Case Step 2 – Selecting Confidence Indicators

< 1 min read

One the observation has been chosen, the observation indicators are then displayed.

These are known as indicators as they are a supporting classifcation, directly related to the observation.

In the chosen example, the observation is Adblue consumption too high. Therefore the relevant Confidence Indicators to this Observation are either NOx conversion efficiency or a dosing fault with the AdBlue.

The vehicle technician will, during their initial inspection or the development of their premise, have an idea of which of these is more applicable to the selected observation.

The confidence indicator is designed to enable technicians to zone in on the style or type of supporting evidence for the selected observation. This will help refine the diagnostic process in the next stage, Step 3 – The Hypothesis List.
